Meet the Doctor

Dr. Bruce Younger is a Dermatology Specialist in Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated with honors from University of Minnesota Medical School in 1981. Having more than 41 years of diverse experiences, especially in DERMATOLOGY, Dr. Bruce Younger affiliates with no hospital, cooperates with many other doctors and specialists without joining any medical groups. BRUCE YOUNGER MD

A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Younger attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois to earn a Bachelor's degree in Biology. He returned home to Minneapolis in 1973 to attend University of Minnesota Medical School – Twin Cities to earn is medical doctorate and concluded his education at the University of Minnesota earning his Master’s in Science. During his residency and fellowship, his professional medical training was performed at Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Younger received his board certification by the American Board of Dermatology in 1981.

After completing his education, Dr. Younger moved to the Cincinnati area with his beautiful wife Barbara, to raise his three children while chasing his longtime dream of opening his own private dermatology practice. More than 40 years later, he is still living his dream of providing medical and cosmetic dermatology treatments to the Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Indiana areas.

Dr. Younger holds medical licenses in California, Florida, Minnesota, and Ohio. He has a hospital affiliation with the Jewish Hospital that includes both surgical and admitting privileges. As a long standing member of Phi Kappa Phi Professional Society, the Ohio State Medical Association (OSMA), the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and the Cincinnati Academy of Medicine has many consulting physicians available to add to his own personal breadth of knowledge for better understanding of each patients overall health outside of his dermatology expertise.

Dr. Younger was a participant in the study of Ketoconazole in Recalcitrant Tinea Infections at the University of Minnesota Medical School, Investigations of the Prevention of Herpes Simplex spread via condom/surgical gloves in conjunction with the Minnesota State Board of Health, and and a six week study in Dermatologic Surgery at the University of Miami under Dr. Steve Mandy. Dr. Younger was a pivotal participant in the Laser Research Studies in conjunction with Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH and Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. From 1981 – 2006 Dr. Younger was a Volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Cincinnati holding occasional staff clinics at the Veteran’s Administration as well as attending Grand Rounds. As a part of his Volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor position, he also mentored students and offered clinical office observations for students of dermatology specialties, family practice, and internal medicine.

HANNAH BOSTON

Hannah joined our practice in 2020 as a part-time staff member in order to need modified COVID-19 requirements. Hannah’s addition has allowed us to not only keep up with sanitation requirements but to allow us to maximize the number of patients that we evaluate on a daily basis by checking in patients in upon arrival. This increase allows us to schedule increased number of patients so not have excessive lead times for appointments as well as keep our daily schedule on time while continuing to provide the best possible quality of care.

REBECCA BOSTON

Rebecca has been with the practice for 17 years. Her role has been to work with both patients and staff to develop office practices that will increase efficiencies, minimize excessive costs for both the patients and the practice while still ensuring privacy and quality of care. Her goal is to create seamless access to records, billing and communication while minimizing appointment lead times, appointment wait times, ensuring treatment coverage, and improving quality of care for our patients total overall health. She enjoys working directly with our patients in the clinical setting whenever she gets the chance. In her time away from working with patients, she works as Dr. Younger’s personal assistant. If you have any problems or practice management suggestions, she is always more than happy to listen to your ideas.

LAUREN BURGESS

Lauren joined our practice in May 2019 as our Lead Medical Assistant. Lauren brings with her a wealth of knowledge in the Medical Assisting field from her background in pain management. She has had major contributions in the development of increased medical records documentation improving on our advancement of best practices. She has a strong ability to utilize this tool to obtain drug and treatment coverage for many of our therapy options that are difficult to get covered by insurance carriers.

SHELLEY W.

Shelley has been a critical member of the team for more than 24 years. She has been instrumental in managing patient care through patient record keeping, keeping patient insurance records up to date, appointment schedule management, medical records management, and both incoming and outgoing referrals management. In her time away from greeting patients, she also manages the practices accounts payables billing.
